Waniece Bird
Assistant Director

Waniece Bird is our Assistant Director here at Carlsbad Country Day School and is also in charge of our Infant Toddler Center. Before becoming our Assistant Director she was the Master Teacher of an Infant Toddler Program for two years. She holds the Associate Teacher permit in the State of California and is fully qualified to be a Program Director in a title 22 Center. Waniece is trained in CPR and First Aid for Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool children. Waniece is presently pursuing her Bachelor's degree although she currently holds enough units to qualify for her AD in Early Childhood Education.

Prior to moving into administration, Waniece had over 12 years of experience working with children. Her experience as a teacher and mother has given her insight of the special requirements of a child care center.

Waniece currently lives with her husband, David, and daughter, Ariana, in Carlsbad. In her free time she enjoys camping on the beach, and catching up on the latest Disney movies.
