Melody Campbell
Two Year Olds

My name is Melody Campbell and I am one of the Lead Two Years Old Teachers here at Carlsbad Country Day School. I have taught preschool for 7 years, 6 in Los Angeles one year in Vista. After teaching for 6 years in LA, I accepted a full time position as a Program Director for Tom Sawyer Camps in Pasadena. I had been a Director there for 5 years already in the program for 3-5 year olds. As a full time employee, I managed after school, holiday and summer programs for children ages 3 to 12 years old. I supervised and directed a staff of 35 young people and 100 children each day. I enjoyed the job very much and gained a lot of knowledge and experience. When my family moved to Vista, I was able to stay home for a year with my children, ages 14, 7 and 2 years old. I feel like being a Mom has been my greatest gift and most influencial experience. It gives me a different perspective on teaching and a better understanding of the parents in my classroom. I love working at CCDS!
