Enrichment Program Coordinator

Hello, my name is Jennifer Castillo and I am so excited to be part of the program here at Carlsbad Country Day School. I am currently the program coordinator for the enrichment activities in the activity center, where I teach both bilingual immersion, & the gymnastics program. I recently moved to California from Maryland and I love my new home. I have my single subject teaching credential in Math which allowed me to teach High School back in Maryland before relocating. Before coming to Carlsbad Country Day School I taught Spanish at different preschools throughout San Diego.

I graduated from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2005 with a BS in Psychology. I am planning on going back to school to get my masters degree in Education. I am fully qualified by the state of California to be a lead teacher in a preschool program. I currently hold CPR and First Aid certificate for adults, children, and infants.

During my free time I enjoy working out and being outdoors with my dog. I am very excited to meet and work with all the children and their families.
