Gabe Martinez
Kindergarten
Teacher of the Year 2008
Gabe Martinez has been with Carlsbad Country Day School since we opened in 2006 and has become a consistent irreplaceable staple in our program. Since becoming part of the family here at CCDS, he received our Teacher of the Year Award in 2008 and is one of our most sought after teachers in the program. From his positive parent recommendations, his class has filled to capacity annually and our alumni children have flourished in their elementary education. Prior to coming to work at Carlsbad Country Day, Mr. Gabe received a BA in Liberal Studies with an emphasis on education from Cal Sate San Marcos. He is currently working on obtaining his masters degree in education with an emphasis in special education. Prior to teaching at CCDS, Gabe worked in Special Education for four years implementing I.E.P's and creating programs for communication devices. In his free time, Gabe gives back to Carlsbad Country Day, volunteering for the school and building play structures for the children to keep them engaged. He resides in Carlsbad with his son Dylan, who also attends Carlsbad Country Day School in our Infant and Toddler Program.
