Lead Four Year Olds Teacher

Hi! My name is Brandy Barker and I am thrilled to be here at Carlsbad Country Day School. I love working with children and being a part of their important childhood years. I graduated HSU with a BA degree in Child Development, as well as a dual California and Nevada Teacher's Credential from Sierra Nevada College. I have experience both directing and teaching in a preschool setting. Immediately prior to coming to work for Carlsbad Country Day, I taught Kindergarten for 6 years in the Reno/Tahoe area and absolutely loved it.

Although Reno was beautiful, I grew up in Oceanside and recently moved back to North County to be closer to my extended family. I currently reside in Vista with my husband Brian, and two children Nicholas and Malia. In my free time I love to play outside at the beach, go hiking with our dog, and spend free time with my family and friends.
