Maya Martin
Lead Three Year Olds
My name is Maya Martin and I am a happy addition to the Carlsbad Country Day School staff. I was born and raised in Redondo Beach, but lived in Hawaii for the last 10 years! Last year my family relocated to Oceanside and I also completed my Master's Degree in education. I also have a BA in psychology from Hawaii Pacific University.
I have recently attained my Masters of Arts degree with an emphasis in Elementary Education. I came to find my love of teaching after graduation from college. I have worked with students from ages 2-21. I really enjoy and have a passion for teaching younger students. I strongly believe in teaching to the whole child and encouraging not only academic but social and emotional learning for all children.
In my spare time I enjoy watching movies and spending time with my husband and daughter. I look forward to meeting you and growing with your child.
